D. Brin would certainly appreciate this bit of research. 
It essentially discusses why Endor should now be a desolate dead moon now
after the explosion of DeathStar II. That the Death Star was an ecological
nightmare while it existed, and after would have erradicated every Ewok on
the planet, that did not escape within a few hours of the explosion.
