In the days of the typewriter it was standard to key two spaces between
sentences. I seem to recall reading a style guide or two that suggested
keying one space was appropriate with word processors (and proportional
fonts and justification etc).
M$ Word 2001 does have options (in spelling and grammar) to check for 1
space between sentences, 2 spaces between sentences, or not check.
But I'm sure we will soon be able to apply personal viewing templates to
everything as easily as we presently apply formatting templates and nobody
will ever argue about spelling, punctuation or grammar again...
