:)
Our little watch-dog puppy woke up at 5AM* last night, apparently having had
a nightmare. She had to run around the house - and yard - barking madly to
scare off the monster she imagined was invading her territory. She wouldn't
stop until Susan and I had both taken her on a tour of the house and yard,
and then cuddled her tightly in bed. She was still out of sorts a few hours
later.
The cats, of course, merely looked on derisively.
Joshua (foolishly thinking, "at least human babies don't wake the
neighbors")
* For reference we usually go to bed at 1AM and get up at 8AM. For us, 5AM
is just evil at this time of year/latitude - it's just getting light out, so
your brain says "Wake up! Wake up! It's morning! :) :)" while your body says
"oh gods no no no go back to sleep now you stupid person".
