You don't happen to live in the Columbus to Cleveland area do you?
We get advertisements for Andromeda, ST:TNG, Voyager and DS9, but at the
time it is supposed to come on, the local cable company switches to an
infomercial.
If I am not mistaken, it is a royalty/broadcast fee issue. If our local
cable company airs one of the above shows that is transmitted from the
Cleveland station, then our local Columbus cable company would have to pay
the royalties and fees associated with the broadcast. Since our local
company also broadcasts the shows on another LOCAL channel, they don't want
to pay the fees twice. At least this is my understanding of the issue.
Oh, and in answer to your question, we get it on UPN twice every weekend.
