FWIW, after several weeks of observation, I have concluded the following
about the Eudora "chili pepper" rating system: apparently using the word
"i-d-i-o-t" in a post, regardless of context (even if it just appears in a
quote from a post you're replying to), guarantees at least two chili
peppers and a warning that you should "tone it down" before sending the
message. So, apparently, does any usage of "p-o-r-n" or the full word,
even if one happens to be discoursing on its evils rather than attempting
to peddle it. OTOH, numerous explicit anatomical terms go right through
without garnering any chili peppers, as does any mention of Viagra.
