You actually answered your own question... Culture..
Seriously, movies and TV shows from the US are seen in an enormous range of
countries, we see more American TV than Australian TV if you count the late
night time slots and the movies are nearly all American.
Other major goodies we import from the US are software and aircraft where
America is the major producer worldwide of both. We also buy a lot of heavy
machinery from the USA.

BTW, In another post, JDG cites automobiles - America is a net importer of motor
vehicles and in fact exports very few cars outside North America (relative to
Germany, Japan and Korea) (What an interesting triumvirate of motor vehicle
exporters given the USA's involvement in their recent history...)
