Not that it turned out to be too much... earthquakes, like fire alarms,
apparently find early morning to be the best time to occur, and I woke up
at six to feel my entire room vibrating. *Very* bizarre. Well, I guess
I've been in NZ for *real* now. <grin>

Earthquake Too Deep To Cause Damage

Seismologists say the strong earthquake which was felt over a large
portion of the country
early this morning was too deep to cause damage.

The Institute of Geological and Nuclear Sciences says the quake was
centred 20-kilometres
north of Taumarunui and measured 6.2 on the Richter scale.

There are reports the quake was felt from Christchurch to Hawke's Bay.

Seismologist Mark Chadwick says the depth of the earthquake dampened its
impact.
He says it was centred more than 260-kilometres below the earth's surface.

I think every truly religious person is a heretic at
heart because you can't be true to an established
agenda. You have to be true to what you think.
