i didn't have to take it in HS, but then again i went to a Catholic 
high school that had its own curriculum, and did not have to follow 
the state's dictates. in fact, we didn't follow the archdiocese's 
curriculum. so, no Economics, but plenty of Latin, Theology, 
Philosophy, History, etc.
