1980 is included in the worst dictatorship that ever plagued
South America - it's the period of the "dirty war", when,
in order to "fight communism", the gov.ar killed or
disappeared 30,000 of their own citizens, with an amazingly
high rate of persecution of jews, homosexuals, etc.

The dictatorships of South America in the 60s-70s-80s
had an agreement, "Condor Operation", to poll resources to
kill whoever opposed any g*vernment. This included
Brazil, Argentina, Chile [after they deposed Allende],
Paraguay and Uruguay.

BTW, these are the "evils of capitalism", because there
was a CIA touch in these dictatoships, including sending
some experts in torture to teach our torturers :-/
