I want to take a moment to spread the word about one of my absolute favorite performers. Think of a sort of cross between Woody Guthrie, Townes Van Zandt, Bo Diddley, Muddy Waters, and Son House, with the occasional hip-shakin' latin groove thrown in for good measure. Mix with acute social and political consciousness, a fine fine voice, a seriously tight band, a tendency to do 2-3 hour shows when given the chance, and you've got one of those rare people with the skill and charisma to keep the mind, heart, and feet moving long after the show's over.
