A State of Emergency has been declared by the State of Texas.
And the National Weather Service is prepareing to begin issuing tropical
weather bullitens for Allison once again.
This storm just wont die.
The Doppler radar on TV shows how the storm is sucking moisture off the Gulf
and dumping it on Houston. They predict that the storm might drift back over
the Gulf and regain its Tropical Storm status.
Until now there have been no known fatalities, but it was just announced
that a woman drowned in a basement elevator in one of the skyscrapers
downtown.
As I write they are annoncing that a young boy drowned in a tree trying to
escape the water.
The phone company has asked that people not use the phones except in an
emergency, and since I am using a dail-up service.......
