Julia, have you ever been to Kansas City?  There is practically a Tex-Mex 
restaurant on every other corner, as well as a couple of really good 
authentic Mexican restaurants (one is Mexico City style, the other is from a 
bit further south).

By the way, the last time I heard, Kansas City is the second or third 
fattest city in the USA.  Considering all the fattening Tex-Mex, the huge 
number of barbecue restaurants, the largest number of movie screens per 
capita in the country, and a laid-back mid-west attitude, I wonder why...
