Isn't this why we have a CIA, not to mention all those Tomahawk missiles and 
stealth bombers and who knows what all they haven't even told us about?

Why can't we blow up Saddam's hypothetical nuclear missile, plus all the 
factories the built any part of it, _before_ he's threatening us with it? And 
once he rebuilds them all 5 years later, blow them up again?

It's not 100% protection, but neither is a missile shield.

Another thought -- if we need a missile shield to protect us because some 
lunatic might build his own nuclear missile in the near future ... why hasn't 
anyone built such a missile already? We've all known how for an awfully long 
time ...
