He had initially gone to a distant cove, one that was "safe" at least until
someone insecure, frail, and hurting from the issues occupying her own life
turned her rage about the world on him for all present to witness. He
didn't have to leave, because he was not in the wrong, but he chose to. She
needs to heal, and his being there would hinder that. He doesn't know why
she has chosen him to project her anger and fear upon, but if that helps
her, he does not mind shouldering that burden. This of course is not
relivant, but explains why he finds himself returning to a cove that he
thought he would likely never return to. "What am I doing here?" he
wonders. He doesn't know, maybe he shouldn't be here, maybe he should be
composing the story he feels compelled to show the world (lack of
inspiration be damned) maybe he should be out trying to form "friendships"
with others he has little in common with. Maybe he just needs something to
occupy his free-time so his life doesn't seem so uni-directional. He swims
in curious and wondering what he will find in his return.
