One thing. You often hear American actors trying to put on horrible
non-American accents, but you hardly ever hear Brits attempting
horrible American accents.

Is it just that the Brits can pull off an American accent more easily,
or that they try harder, or that they avoid roles that require it? Or
is it just that most movies are made in American and American directors
can hear bad American accents when they can't hear bad British accents?

The only bad American accent I can remember off hand was John Cleese
from "The Meaning Of Life". But that can be excused since it's
possible he was doing it on purpose, and besides this is MONTY PYTHON.

Can anyone come up with movies featuring horrible american accents?
Oh, northerners putting on southern accents don't really count.
