Definitiely take two weeks, especially if you have never been to
Newfoundland. Newfoundland was a positively amazing destination.
For reference, we spent the night in Montreal, and spent two pretty solid
days driving West to Havre-St-Pierre. If you didn't stop, you could
probably make it in a very long one day. Once in Havre-St-Pierre, it is
two days on the ferry to Blanc Sablon, on the QC/LB border.
You can also catch the ferry much further up the coast, but IMHO, that
takes the fun out of it..... :)
