WEll I am an ignoramus and olnly poste out of emotions in this highly
intellectual and informed list. I feel very stupid really, because I'm not
well enough read in these things to be a "brain" about it....I mean, I
Never seriously researched the flaws in the Kyoto Treaty, but why does the
rest of the wrold like it so much when the US hates it? I guess European
Greens are ignoramuses too.

Dolphin's post about "what if the ANtarctic ic sheets melted/fell into the
sea" scared me.....you see, even the very liberal KSR didn't porrary it as
happening befolre 2100 (or even as being entirely anthropogenic! he saw
the earth as on a natural warming cycle humans made worse iirc) but some
scientists say global warming is proceeding faster than previously
thought, so it could happen before then. (And I am NOT willing to believe
any so called climatologist who works for an industry sponsored thinktank
like the GLobal Climate Coalition. I think they are whores and should be
drummed out of the scientific profession for selling themselves to the
highest bidder - the concensus went against them but their rich friends
let them have too loud a voice.) Yes, that's emotion. I've felt this way
for a long time about certain scientists.

Well, industry does pay more than academia, but is there any force
workikng to keep scientists objective?

PS I'll feel better when a reallyh objective scientist tells me Hurricane
Allision had nothing to do with glolbal warming.

PPS I'll let Dolphin do the talking on environmental issues. Unlike me he
is less of a hypocrite. I eat dead animals.
