Oh, so you'll only monitor it until radiation is 75% odd, say...try 
telling the public that one and see how far you get! Also, burrying 
the stuff IS that expensive, considering how much time and energy 
finding sites and providing centuries of moritoring and security...

Umm, Challenger hurt the sun?

Look, the space shuttle is a continuing WART on the space 
program...it's holding us back decades..the great "miracle 
machine" which is frankly so outdated, even THEN, that it's not 
funny. Old, complex machines BREAK.
