The single-day rates vary according to which day it is you're wanting to
get in. I can give you a feel for historical Saturday membership prices.
When Worldcon was in San Antonio in 1997, I think the Saturday rate was on
the order of $50 or so. (I can't be sure on that one, though. Someone
else here might have bought just a Saturday membership and might remember
how much it was.) It was $65 for a Saturday membership in Baltimore in
1998. (I paid for a Saturday membership for my sister there.) It was $80
for a Saturday membership last year in Chicago. (I let a friend know how
much it was, and he decided it would be worth it, and wasn't
disappointed.) Other days were cheaper. You could probably end up paying
less than $170 for two days in Philadelphia, but I don't know how much
less. Also, I don't know if a single-day membership will get you voting
priviledges on next year's Hugo ballot, and a full membership would. (I
have no idea if that's something you'd care about.)
