That's odd.
When I was a kid, I saw a show on PBS that detailed just such a pilot
project, this back in the late '80's. I remember that the walls of the
house were built from recycled tyres (they're great insulators), and it was
powered by solar energy, and all sorts of other efficient-stuff.
I guess that just means that the US was once again well ahead of the
Netherlands on the stuff. ;-)
