For those who are curious about comparing power consumption around the world, this is my June/July bill: Consumption: 249 kWh Maximum Consumption that I might have without being flogged in a public square and hanged by my toes: 422 kWh Bill: R$ 63.40, or US$ 25.36 today or US$ 0.81 when I pay it on 2001-07-24 (yeah, the real is being devaluated pretty quickly) BTW, my peak consumption in the past 12 months was 1576 kWh on January/February, when I paid about R$ 207.80 (US$ 109.36) Alberto Monteiro
