Maybe because mixing names in a stressful situation *adds*
realism to the movie. I've caught myself more than once
calling my kids by two wrong names before I fix it.
My grandmother always called me by my father's name,
until I became old enough that she began calling me
by my name [which was my grandfather's name, BTW]
