What exactly did you have in mind? Appointing some kind of "Committee of
Wise People" to run the country (or the world)? Or appointing one person
"Sole Ruler Of The World" for life?

Who will decide which people will become members of said committee, and who
will decide which individual will become Sole Ruler for life? And on what
will those decisions be based?

Democracy isn't perfect, but it's the best we can do.
