I, for one, am happy to support airport security measures even when they get a
bit heavy handed. Is there a way to determine weather or not a comment is a
joke? I mean really, there are an awful lot of people out there with
exceedingly lousy senses of humor. Anything less than zero tolerance on this
would probably result in security officials excusing themselves by saying "Oh,
well I thought he was joking." I think it _is_ related to the yelling fire
exception - though there is no direct harm, there is the potential for great
harm.
