I've enjoyed listening to Mark Knopfler's new album, Sailing to Philadelphia,
especially the title track. I suppose I could look this up, but I think I'll
get a much more insightful answer here. Jerimiah Dixon is referred to as a
"Jordy Boy". I know that his father was relatively wealthy, is a Jordy boy
the English equivalent of what we call a "preppie"?
Quite a few of the songs seem to be about America and/or the U.S., I'm also
wondering if their is an intended double entendre in the line "Do do
America"? 8^)
