For a couple of years now, I haven't seen _any_ keyboards with a built-in
touchpad in any of the stores. Although apparently ALPS no longer makes
this model, someone did point me to an on-line company that has some models
from another company available.
I already have a couple of the $10 keyboards lying around unused, which if
worse came to worse I guess I could use until I could get one of the
others. Fortunately, though, the smell seems to be greatly diminished from
last night (though earlier one of the cats did sniff out and start licking
one of the soiled spots on the keyboard, though I had to stop him because
he was pushing buttons and I was afraid he would interrupt the program I
was running), and (knock wood) so far the keyboard still seems to be
working as well as it was yesterday.
