It's a red semi elastic cord with big brightly collored (green and blue)
wooden beads and two wooden rings (strung on their side) that turn on the
cord around two enticing red wooden harts. Also there is a big yellow
wooden bell in the middle. You clip the cord onto the cod or the pram
with big red button clips. Especially the bell and the ring have a magic
effect on Tom. He always wants to grab the slippery rings, but they then
turn around the harts and he has to start all over again. From pure
frustration he then starts hitting the bell. It's sooooooo cute. After a
while he simply falls asleep.
We got the cord from a friend of my moms who is a granny herself. We
thought Tom a little young (at the time he was around 9 weeks) for such
toys so we hadn't looked. But the cord looked very cute with the red,
green, yellow and blue and different shapes. So we thought that at least
it would provide Tom with something to look at when he is in his pram.
Boy were we wrong. The thing had been on his pram for about a minute, we
thought nothing of it and went for a cop of coffee. Suddenly the bell
started and Tom was in full action with the cord. Since then it's been
within his reach whenever possible. Besides when I put him down into his
pram and forget to put it acros he loudly lets me know I forgot. :o)
I also have had a similar toy with a bear and jingling balls. I used to
put it up because it looks nice but Tom never touched it. Probably the
colors (beige and cream) aren't good, it's from Tiamo. Looks cute but it
doesn't do the trick.
Another one of Tom's toys is a big hard plastic ballshape thing. Also red
green blue and yellow. It has a smaller jingling ball within. (It was
labeled at 6 months plus). But when I put Tom down in his rocking chair
and I put the ball between his feet or on his legs, he tries to kick it
off. His pleasure is great when after a while he succeeds because then I
have to go get it back for him. So not a game you want to play when you
need a bit of rest.
