One thing I'd like to comment on.

I believe that one shoud consider every email one ever sends to be a
public document. There is no such thing as email secrecy. One should
never send anything by email that one would not want read out loud by
their mother in front of an audience of spouse, friends, family,
co-workers, bosses, and police officers.

So...for example, we recently had some off-list traffic about some
people who wanted to leave the list. Even though I preffered those
messages to be off-list, I had to remember that anything I said had a
good probability of getting back to the people being discussed. And so
I had to think about exactly what I wanted to say.

Email is NOT secret. Everything you say can and will be saved forever
on some server or another. So, think carefully before you type. We're
watching you......
