Actually, I think the comparison is apt. Rebellion against Rome was led by
the wealthy, particularly the leaders of Germany. Power shifted away from
Rome as the broader population increasingly supported the nobility. I'm not
sure there has ever been a meaningful rebellion that didn't have some kind
of alliance between wealthy and poor. Let's not forget for a moment that
this multi-millionaire terrorist has widespread support. An unrestrained
attack on him may radicalize more multi-millionaires. Of course, a
reasonable attack on him may also do so, but what are we to do? This is
like fighting cancer, as I'm about to write in a new message. The options
stink.
