I can recall seeing the face on the TV coverage, mentioned it to my wife who
promptly gave me one of THOSE looks. But then, from birth we are programmed
to recognise and respond to faces. Was wondering how long it would take for
this to become a talking point.
I vaguely recall an Asimov short story about the A-bomb, where a super slomo
film of the mushroom cloud was found to take the form of the devil at some
stage. Was in a collection of "The best of 1963" (Analog, I think)
The whole thing is bad enough without milleniallist/armageddon types getting
involved. Can't help but think that is part of the reason for distrusting
the Islamic world in the first place.
