The president might be able to have any plane he wants, but het would
*always* be returning to Washington onboard Air Force One. As soon as the
US president goes aboard a plane (any plane, whether it is a Boeing 747, a
Hercules transport plane or a Cessna), that plane's call sign automatically
becomes "Air Force One".
Since call signs must be unique (IIRC), you can get the situation that the
plane with the text "Air Force One" painted on it does not actually have
the call sign "Air Force One".
