Well, since you are the second person to have the exact same reaction, I
suppose that I should clarify.
I didn't have the first thought of Jeroen when I wrote that.
I wrote it because it was a particularly touching quote that I heard on the
news, I think from someone in Israel (anyone who can provide more details
would be much appreciated.)
Moreover, it is a quote that I heartily agree with. I think it is
exhibited in the way that NATO, ANZUS, the OAS, Japan, and South Korea - in
essence, almost the entire free world, has proclaimed this an attack upon
them all. This assault was an attack on freedom itself, and to that
extent, all free people are Americans united together in defence of that
freedom.
