I've gone at least twice a year since I moved to York, PA in '94. Every game was for the Yankees except two when I took my brother to see them play the Phillies. I saw plenty of the Yuppie types who were talking on cell phones or reading or talking business but also had plenty of grief from the other fans because I was wearing my Yankee hat. And not the good natured talking back in forth, I mean the 'get the f*** out of our stadium a**hole' type talk.
I'm a big guy, I've never been in a fight, and I don't talk to people so I know I didn't start anything. My brother is even bigger and people were yelling at him with his Philly hat. One friend is a huge Yankee fan but he talks back. He's a little runt and he was in a disturbance where the police had to break it up. I got there just after it was over and people were still yelling things even with the police there. Now I have seen fans who are 100x worse. I wear my Detroit Red Wings jersey to games in Philadelphia and I feel lucky to get out. The only good thing has been that Detroit loses whenever I see them play. (Except for game four in Washington ;-)))) I've been to Pro football games in Buffalo, Pittsburgh, and Philly and heard and seen awful stuff. So yes Baltimore fans are better then most but don't make it sound like they sing Kum-Ba-Ya between every inning. Kevin T.
