Well, Alberto, you were right - I shouldn't have used Colombia as an example of a country which *could* fall into chaos if the US stopped aid suddenly. It's a wonder anyone survives at all. I'm wondering if the AUC and FARC aren't a bit like a dog chasing a car down the street. Could either of them govern if all the other parties suddenly gave up? Russell C.
