M$-DOS (up to version 6.2, anyway) comes with a free Basic dialect
(QBasic,
IIRC).

You can also find QBasic on the Win95 CD-ROM in the "\other\oldmsdos"
directory and on the Win98 CD-ROM in the "\tools\oldmsdos" directory.
All
you have to do is copy qbasic.exe (190 KB) and qbasic.hlp (139 KB) to
your
hard drive.

Actually this is the best help. I didn't know that Qbasic was on 95 and
98 discs. Thanks!
