Hmmm... WW2 - one, WW1 - two, Franco-Prussian War - three,
Austro-Prussian War - four, Austria+Prussia against Denmark - five,
Everybody against Revolutionary France - six...

There are three kinds of people. Those that can count, and those
that can't :-))))))))))))

These European borderlands have been invaded so many times that
it's hard to attribute a "legitimate" owner to them. IIRC, Alsaice/Lorraine
belonged to the Roman Empire, so it should be part of France. But
when the Kingdom of Chalemagne split into three parts, it was not
made part of "France". But it was taken by France during the Modern
Age, it was *not* lost after the Napoleonic Wars, but Prussia took
it in the formation of the Second Reich, and France took it back after WW1.
