I don't own one, and I don't care to own one, but I don't mind anyone
else owning one, as long as they're reasonable about it. What I really
like is the kind of gun owner that has a nice gun rack in the pickup
truck. If they have a gun rack, you *know* they're the sort of person
who has a pickup truck because they really *use* it, not just own it
because it's cool to own a pickup. I think it's a God-given right of
every law-abiding Texan to have guns to put on their gun racks in their
pickup trucks.
And anyone in Texas who doesn't like it, well, they must be a
mush-headed ignerint Yankee. We oughta do something about that. Maybe
we just oughta set a 1-week hunting season on ignerint Yankees. We'll
warn them first by running an ad in the Sunday New York Times, telling
them they oughta stay out of Texas that week; that oughta be fair
warning for them. Just to be safe, all the true-blue Texans maybe
oughta dress the part. I can just see it now -- a boost to the
boot-making industry in preparation for our Yankee season, and a lot
more Stetsons being sold. Sure, we'll end up with a bunch of us looking
like dumb goat-ropers, but a goat-roper beats an ignerint Yankee any
day.
OK, Rob, is that ridiculous enough for you?

Now wait just a rust belt minute. I own guns and a pick-em-up truck and
don't have a 'visible' gun rack. Don't be telling me I don't use my
truck cause you can't see my gun rack. My truck has a rack which is
above yer head, it locks the guns in place and the guns aren't visibul
until some fool texan tries to take me on.
Perhaps if you had some Pennsylvania Bucktails

at the Alamo, you wouldn't have to remember it all the time, you texans
wouldn't have lost it in the first place.
