Sorry to be the party-pooping Hebrew nitpicker, but... uh...
Jonathan = Yonatan = YHVH-NTN = 'God Gave'
Gabriel = Gavri'eil = GBR-2L = 'God's strength'
 
The translation of Gabriel is more tentative... the root GBR means things like 'strong', 'mighty', 'power', 'hero', stuff like that... so it could mean something like "God's strength" or maybe "God is my strength" or something like that.  Actually, since _gever_ (from the same root) means "man" (adult male human being), it could mean "man of God", but the more abstract 'strength'-type translations seem to make more sense. "man of God" (_ish eloqim_) is a title generally used for prophets.
