I have a friend with a 2 1/2-year-old daughter who agrees with you.
They don't watch anything with violence anymore (no more Law & Order for
awhile, which the mother was rather fond of) but they don't have
problems with her seeing sex. When asked by another mutual friend who
didn't get it, the mother said that they hoped their daughter wouldn't
ever be involved in any violence, but they figured that sooner or later
she'd get involved with sex. :)

still watching NYPD Blue, but for how much longer?
