That is one of the tricks of windows.... When you lack the CD just press escape (or cancel) and point (when asked) to the directory where the files are usually C:/windows/.... Just a neat trick I picked up during many PC rescue missions. You usually don't need the original disk when the machine asks for it, most files are parked somewhere on your harddrive. Just a matter of 'search file'. (And when in need of a registration number you can usually pick that up from the internet but you shouldn't because it is wrong, you should pay for your software.
