Debian maintains all the packages with dependencies and conflicts, and apt-get uses this information. If a given piece of software needs another piece of software, or conflicts with a certain version of another piece of software, apt-get will fix it, downloading the new software and replacing or asking to remove the offending software. This does a great job of keeping complicated softwares working together happily. -- "Erik Reuter" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://www.erikreuter.com/
