Although Sara Hughes skated brilliantly, I thought Sasha Cohen skated the
most artistically of all last night. Yes, she fell on one jump (early) but
she was the most balletic of all the final skaters (IMO). I think the
announcers gave her short shrift, and I was honestly hoping for a USA sweep.

That said, Sara Hughes was awesome last night, but she needs to develop a bit
more grace and fine muscle control. There were a couple of spin moves last
night where she did not lift her trailing leg high enough or keep it elevated
long enough.

If she remains serious about skating (she's 16 and may want to have a real
life), she could be a threat for gold both at Turin in 2006 and wherever the
2010 Winter Games are held.

OT, aren't these some of the most enjoyable Winter Olympics in a long time?
I'm enjoying the whole thing, esp. the men's hockey tournament. And aren't
the Italians going to have fun hosting this in 4 years?
