If it's any comfort, I've been here for a bit now and I don't know what it is either. :-) I'm guessing it's like one of those price tag dispensers, except that it spits out a continuous line of sticky tape instead of perforated price tags. Anyway, after looking at images.google.com, it seems that a tape gun is just a roll of tape on a handle, with plastic thingies in the right places applying pressure to the tape so it sticks to a surface. Nothing goes pop or boom. How disappointing, yes? Eileen
