I'm guessing the hobbit surname is based on the first and last letters of the surname you enter, since Julia and I both end up with the same hobbit surnames. After playing around with the generator, that seems to be the case for all the hobbit names. Hence it's probably some mapping of 26x26 combinations of two letters to a bunch of hobbit names (not one-to-one, of course). Anybody want to generate a full list of combinations? :-) Eileen
