Fool me twice, shame on me." I will remain skeptical until other labs can reproduce it consistently. (No, I don't have access to the necessary equipment to try it myself.) OTOH, it will be interesting if it is confirmed. And even more interesting if they can find a way to get any net useful energy out of it. (Muon-catalyzed cold fusion "works", in the sense that it causes fusion to occur at lower temperatures and pressures than the center of the Sun or equivalent, but it seems to be impossible foe one muon to catalyze enough fusion reactions before it decays for the total energy to released to be as much as the energy needed to make the muon in the first place, much less produce any net energy output.) -- Ronn! :) Ronn Blankenship Instructor of Astronomy/Planetary Science University of Montevallo Montevallo, AL Disclaimer: Unless specifically stated otherwise, any opinions contained herein are the personal opinions of the author and do not represent the official position of the University of Montevallo.
