I wouldn't normally get involved in sending out virus warnings, but this one
got me the other day.

Basically, you get an email that claims to be from Microsoft with a file,
q216309.exe, attached. When executed, email messages get sent all over the
place as well as you getting a few new files added to C:/Windows.

The virus is classed as minor/low level, but it is a pain.

I got caught because I was rebuilding my laptop, after getting fed up with
multiple glitches. So, having just reloaded all my mail programs I expected
to see the standard "Welcome to Outlook" email from Microsoft. Bit of brain
fade on my part.

And no, no correspondence will be entered into about why I use Microsoft
products: I'm a techwriter who must use the programs business uses, and
business uses Microsoft. And does anyone need a techwriter/trainer? Please?

Cheers,

Brett
