This has been on-line for a while now.  It's fun, and sometimes rude or
embarrassing, to see what people were saying many years ago.  Someone
recently posted to Slashdot a link to a rather well-know Web figure's
postings regarding adult movies when he was in college.

Nothing in there particularly embarrassing to me, except for occasional
bouts of stupidity.

I'm not sure if I've ever posted a link to Marc Smith's research, but he's
done some in-depth analysis of Usenet, working on getting Microsoft out of
the customer support business.  See
