Apart from Alexander the Great, I can't think of any other "world" wars, that is, involving three or more continents. Please list. Brett Well, the Napoleonic Wars certainly qualify, with major engagements fought in North America, Europe, and Africa, and minor ones in South America and Asia as well. The Seven Years War (known in the US as the French and Indian War) does as well - in fact, in my long-ago history classes it was often referred to as the real first world war. Offhand I can't think of any others at the moment - well, unless you count the American Revolution, which ended up triggering a conflict between Britain and France that also included Europe and Asia as well, I believe.
