Doesn't make her (or you) right.

I like to *think* we're not alone; but science isn't about what I think (or 
about what I'd like), it's about what I can prove. So far, I can't prove that 
we're not alone.

The null hypothesis has to be that we're alone. To overturn that, we have to 
prove otherwise.
