I highly recommend choosing the components yourself. You may need to do
a little reading (or if you ask a few questions here, I'm sure you'll
get informative answers), but it is well worth it. Not only will you
better understand your system, you'll also get a higher quality system
for about the same (or a little less) than a "black box" where you never
know WHAT they put in their until you pop it open (and sometimes not
even then).

I purchased my last computer from

  http://www.bunta.com/

In the sidebar at right, go to "Total Cost Calculator" and it will list
lots of components (cases, motherboards, CPU's, HD's, etc.) with prices
and you select the ones you want. When you are done, you can either have
them ship you all the components, or you can select build service, and
they will put it together for you (for a additional fee).
